October New Moon and more

We have an interesting month coming up. October will host a Super New Moon (when the Moon is both at perigee, closest to the earth, and conjunct the Sun) in Libra bringing a more powerful effect for this new moon. The effects are stronger on our physical and emotional bodies, giving the possibility of greater shifts in consciousness and awareness. That happens on October 7 around 6:45 am.

Libra is where the action is happening, with a conjunction between Saturn and Mercury in Libra as well as the New Moon. Also, Venus will go retrograde on October 8 at 13 Scorpio and retrograde back into Libra. It will remain within 10 degrees of Mars for 12 weeks, from July 26 until October 16, instigating new relationships and resurrecting old ones for healing and completion.

With the Saturn/Mercury dance, it is giving an opportunity for us to set clear directions, get serious about them, and make the needed changes. In Libra, the sign of relating, relationships are stressed, and we’re asked to get real about fairness and equality. With the square to Pluto in Capricorn, it also brings in the need to change some deeply held beliefs in order to do this.
